A great point to start and maybe branch off of as you test various mixes like I have! Lets get right into it!
- Commune with Dinosaurs
- Otepec Huntmaster
- Marauding Raptor
- Ripjaw Raptor
- Shifting Ceratops
- Regisaur Alpha
There are of course many other great picks that I use regularly but these are 100% auto in for any list. They have certainly been that way the longest. You have a great mix of cost reduction which can easily and often lead to playing the bigger Dinos a Turn or sometimes two Turns early! Efficient use of mana can be achieved in a wide variety of lines depending on the combination in hand.
Sometimes it might make more sense to leave a mana up after playing creatures or switch up the combination depending what the opponent is playing. Holding back a Regisaur Alpha to play a Ripjaw Raptor instead and either dig a little closer for a sweeper or hope to grab a much needed land for the turn could scenarios you come across.
Shifting Ceratops might come down Turn 4 after Ripjaw Raptor on Turn 3 with a Marauding Raptor on Turn 2. Neither Dino for Turn 3 could attack so the card draw would likely be preferable. Then if all is well, a 4th Land for Turn 4 means Shifting Ceratops could attack the Turn it comes down by giving it Haste.
Regisaur Alpha is just plain fantastic to keep everything moving as fast as possible. Multiples is great since the second one will be able to attack due the first Regisaur Alpha. Speed is very often good so i am always wanting to see it. 4 of, no questions.
